First of all a big warning!

China Love Link has a very similar name and web address to Chinese Love Links! Chinese Love Links is a very popular Chinese dating site, so don't get China Love Link confused with Chinese Love Links. Chinese Love Links is a pretty good website, and it is the only Chinese dating site I can recommend [by the way I'm not affiliated with Chinese Love Links].

I am concerned about China Love Link, and I would not trust this dating site. Here are my reasons:

• The company is based in China. Business practices are very poor in China, particularly in the Chinese marriage industry. There are many problems with Chnlove, and that site is actually based in Hong Kong (although it relies on Chinese based marriage agencies). Actually Chnlove itself is a fairly good dating site, but it is let down by the immense problems created by the Chinese agencies it relies on to supply the ladies for the site.
• Be wary of Chinese based dating sites because many Chinese matchmaking services charge a success fee. Depending on the lady's background that could amount to several thousand US dollars. While everything is negotiable in China, you might still have to end up paying around $500 to the person that put you in contact with your Chinese bride to be.
• Another problem with China Love Link is that it is very vague about costs. Is it a free site? Does it cost money? How much money? It's not clear unless you sign up for membership. This is a fault with many online dating sites, and even the major sites make it very difficult to see what costs are involved before you register.
• Also a potential problem with the site is that it appears to be a translator based service. Basically you have to pay every time you send or receive an email from a lady registered on the site. Obviously you don't really need a translator, but not that many Chinese ladies on dating sites can read or write good English. I really don't like sites that operate on a translator basis. They can turn out to be very expensive for you! I spent over $400 on Chnlove translation costs and I only contacted a dozen ladies. The system is also open to abuse as a website or agency can field fake ladies with beautiful photos and make thousands of US dollars sending or receiving the same fake emails! Some translators are also better than others - if you happen to get a lazy translator then they sometimes won't even bother to send your letter to your lady but will instead make up something to send to you.

So much for the negatives. I'm afraid I can't really find any positives about China Love Link, so please use Chinese Love Links instead.

So we've established that China Love Link is not really a great dating site. If you're serious about finding a Chinese wife then try Chinese Love Links. Also worth a look is Cherry Blossoms. You'll find many of the same Chinese ladies on both dating sites. China Love Link is another alternative, but I'm not sure if this is a good site either.

Many Western men are totally naive about Chinese women. They think that Chinese ladies are shy and submissive. Often this comes from watching too many Japanese adult movies. Actually Japanese ladies aren't exactly shy or submissive either these days - gal culture and improving job prospects for women have changed Japan a lot in recent years.

Chinese ladies are strong and in many provinces the woman is effectively the head of the household. If you marry a Chinese lady then she will make a lot of the important decisions for you! My Chinese girlfriend was a bit scary at times to be honest.

Chinese ladies are very beautiful. I've been to Beijing and Central China and so I've confirmed this with my own eyes!

Finding a Chinese wife is expensive and very stressful. Don't be under any illusions that this will be easy. It's not the easy way to find a wife. The cultural and language barriers are immense. China is a difficult place to visit if you don't know any Chinese. It's really difficult to tell if a Chinese lady is in it for love or a green card and Western passport. It is much easier to find a wife in your own country.

Most Chinese ladies DO NOT prefer older men, despite what myths other men like to say. They would much rather find a guy of their own age. But finding a rich man in China isn't easy! As a general guide I would be suspicious of any Chinese lady who is showing interest in a man more than 10 years older than she is. By the way, rich Chinese men love young ladies, but a man will normally keep a young lady as a mistress, not as a wife. They know the score - so should you!

Anyway, good luck with finding your Chinese wife online! By all means give China Love Link a go, but you're probably much better off going straight to Chinese Love Links - I really wish I had done the same.
