In all honesty, the best way to find a Chinese girl is to go to China for a few months. If you can get a job in China, or take a sabbatical and go travelling, then this is a good option. Don't marry the first Chinese girl you see though! In many parts of China Western men are extremely rare. Cute girl warning! I should point out at this stage that China has a vast population. Trains are usually packed. Buses are usually packed. Expensive shopping malls are often empty, but that's because hardly any Chinese people can afford to shop in them! A consequence of this is that it can be really difficult to choose a Chinese girl. They are mostly all very beautiful. They usually have similar hobbies like singing Karaoke in KTC bars, dancing, keep fit, travelling and shopping.

Remember that Chinese girls are very family orientated. If the family doesn't approve of you it can be very hard work to win them over. Marrying a young Chinese girl is fraught with complications, so you might be better off with a more mature Chinese woman. Don't worry - Chinese ladies tend to age very gracefully thanks to extensive deployment of sun umbrellas, good diet, exercise and very little alcohol or tobacco.

First of all I guess that most Western people think Chinese girls are shy and submissive. This is a horrible misunderstanding that largely arose because of the confusion between Japanese and Chinese ladies. Japanese ladies tend to be fairly shy and submissive. The same cannot be said for Chinese girls! I have never met a shy and retiring Chinese girl.

A lot of Western women are really suspicous about Western men dating Asian girls. They think that the Asian girl is just looking for a way out of poverty. I guess this is true up to a point. But Western women are just as likely to marry for money as a Chinese girl is.

While it is true that the traditional Thai mail order bride is almost always from the poverty stricken rural areas of Thailand, the same is definately not true of Chinese girls who are looking to marry Western men. China has a very good education system and a booming economy. By and large the majority of Chinese girls looking to marry Western men are educated and have fairly good careers in China. If you register with a dating site where Western men can chat to Chinese girls then you'll notice that many of the girls on the site have pretty good jobs. I've spotted company executives, translators, teachers, doctors and other professionals on the Chnlove dating site. While standards of living and wages are a lot lower in China, these girls aren't exactly poverty stricken.

Another point of contention is that there is a perception that Asian women prefer older men. This isn't really true, but it makes men feel good about themselves. While some girls prefer much older men, they're generally the exception rather than the rule. A lot of the younger girls on Chinese-Western dating sites are timewasters and if you get involved with them you'll often have to endure a lot of heartbreak. Also beware of girls rushing into marriage. It's generally frowned upon for a Chinese girl to remain unmarried after the age of 30. So you might find a lot of girls being pressurised into marriage in order to please her parents. While a Chinese girl will normally obey her parent's wishes, you don't want to be stuck with a girl who didn't want to get married in the first place.

Finally a lot of Western men have problems with Western women, and think that a Chinese girl will give them an easier time. This is a bad mistake to make. Sure many Chinese girls would make fabulous wives. On the other hand there are plenty of Chinese girls that would make your life hell! China has changed dramatically in the last few years. The single child policy has also lead to a generation of very spoiled princesses, so take care when dating a younger Chinese girl. I guess it's no coincidence that an increasing number of Chinese men are fed up with Chinese ladies, so they're going over to the border and finding loving wives in Vietnam!
