Chnlove Club Review - is it a good place to meet your dream Chinese wife?

Chinese ladies are slim, beautiful and have a reputation for making good wives.

Thanks to the Internet there are thousands of Chinese ladies looking for their dream Western husband online. Although you can find Chinese ladies on any dating website, many men prefer niche dating sites that only have asian or Chinese ladies.

Chnlove Club is one of the biggest Chinese singles dating sites online. It specialises in finding Western husbands for Chinese women. Despite rumours of scams, the ladies on the site are real (well some of them!), and it has a good track record of marriages. There's also their related dating site Thai Matches for Thai brides.

Like most online dating sites, Chnlove Club is free to sign up to. Once you have chosen a username and password, you have to fill out a few personal details about yourself, and you can upload a small photo.

Unlike other dating websites, only men are able to sign up via the Internet. Ladies do not register directly with Chnlove Club but their details are placed on Chnlove Club by Chinese marriage agencies.

Once registered you can search for the lady of your dreams. The search tools are pretty basic, but the most useful facilities are the ability to search by age or marital status. Sadly it's not possible to search for ladies who speak good English.

I have got to say that the major attraction of Chnlove Club is that it has the best looking ladies on any online dating site I have ever visited. You will be stunned at how beautiful the Chnlove Club ladies are. I can confirm that they're just as beautiful in real life as well, and so can many other men like me.

If you find a lady you're interested in, you can send a Cupid Note and she will let you know if she is interested in you. It's also possible for ladies to initiate contact with you. While you'll be flattered by the interest from such beautiful girls, you'll no doubt hide your profile after a while as many of the ladies won't be that suitable for you and it's better to find your own lady.

It costs money to contact a lady, and you are charged when a lady emails you back. This kind of charging model is attractive as there isn't an up front fee. The problem is that costs quickly mount if you exchange quite a few emails with a lady you have taken an interest in. The good news is that it's possible to request a lady's email address, postal address or webcam details so that you can bypass Chnlove Club and email the lady directly. If a lady doesn't speak or write good English then the Google Translate website can be used to do your own translations. A few months of using that and you'll soon start understanding what many of those pretty Chinese characters mean!

I spent a few hundred dollars via Chnlove Club, but compared to the costs of dating a woman from my own town (think restaurant bills, theatre tickets, taxis home etc. etc.) the costs were pretty reasonable.

Not that many Chnlove Club ladies speak or can write much English or other foreign languages, so the letters sent via the Chnlove Club website are translated from English to Chinese and back again by the lady's marriage agency translator. This is quite an efficient system, although you'll quickly realise that some ladies have better translators than others.

The process I've used is as follows:

• Browse the lady profiles. Spend a lot of time browsing.
• Find a lady you are in interested in and send her a Cupid Note.
• If she indicates she's interested in you then send her an Email
• Exchange a few emails (maybe 10 or so) and get to know your lady. Ask about her family situation and if she's OK to move to your country if that is what you want. Try to gauge her level of English. Make sure her family situation fits with your own plans. Oh man, this is so vital as Chinese ladies really value their families!
• Try to get more photos of your lady, especially natural photos if her profile photos are just studio shots. This shouldn't be a problem as most Chinese ladies have 10,000 photos of themselves (this is not an exaggeration by the way).
• If you're getting on well, try to arrange an online meeting on webcam.
• Try to talk on MSN Messenger or the Chinese equivalent called QQ.
• If you're still close after 2-3 months start thinking of that trip to China to visit her!

Some men have several Chnlove Club ladies on the go at one time, while others like concentrating on one lady at a time. It's personal choice.

Sadly online dating fraud is quite common - lonely men clouded by thoughts of love make idea candidates for scams.

The problem with Chnlove Club is that not all of the marriage agencies it deals with are that honest. Dishonest business practices are rife in China, so if you want a Chinese wife then you'll have to get used to it. The main scam is agencies posting photos of ladies that do not exist. Ask to see natural photos of the lady, and ask to see her on webcam. If she refuses, seriously consider choosing another.

Also you should consider sending your lady a small gift, then getting her to send you a photo of her holding the gift.

Generally speaking, scam ladies are more likely to be found in Nanning, Shanghai, Shenzen or one of the other major cities. Ladies from these cities are also red flags to Western immigration authorities, so be extra vigilant. Don't let scare stories put you off a particular lady though!

Chnlove Club itself is based in Hong Kong, where business regulations are a little better than those found in mainland China. If you suspect fraud then it's always worth contacting Chnlove Club. However, there is usually not a great deal they can do other than refund the credits you spent talking to a lady you had problems with.

I have to say that I myself haven't had any problems with Chnlove Club itself. They have always been quick to respond to my emails. I did have problems when I dated a Chinese lady I met through Chnlove Club, but that was more related to my unfortunate choice of lady! It is not easy finding a good woman, and don't let yourself think that it will be any easier finding a good woman in a different country.
